PRECIOUS THINGS
The third and final book in my “Faded Photographs” Series is out and on
bookstore shelves!
Blythe Severson is a satisfied woman—or so she’s led herself
to believe. As owner of an antique/resale shop, she occasionally treats herself
to a “junk hunt,” searching for precious things to sell in her store. She is
alone – and has learned to be content – until she receives a faded photograph
inside a wedding announcement, inviting her to relive memories that were long
buried.
Will Blythe’s past shake her faith and mar her future?
Other books in the
series are BROKEN THINGS, book one, and HIDDEN THINGS, book two.
THE LONG RIDE HOME
My latest romance
from Heartsong Presents
has also been released.
Kevin Wincouser spent the last decade trying to escape the pain of his
parents' death. He's thrown himself into the rodeo circuit with great success.
Now, however, having suffered a head injury, he realizes he may never be able
to ride again.
As Kevin recuperates, Lara Donahue finds her childhood hero's heart is far
more wounded than his body. Lara must carefully guard her own heart - she's
determined that the man she loves will love God first, and her second. But
that's clearly not Kevin's plan. Can Lara hold fast to her faith -
or will she be thrown by the memory of her schoolgirl crush?

What am I working on now?
I’ve have three projects in the works. My agent, Joyce Hart, is
already searching for homes (aka publishers) for them.
Family Lights
On June 1st, my baby went off to boot camp. Okay…so, he is 22 years old. Brian is still my “baby.” My husband Daniel and I are planning to travel to Ft. Benning (GA) for his graduation next month.
My middle son,
Rick, is still stationed at Ft. Lewis (WA). It’s been hard on his wife,
Heather. They were married only a month when Rick was deployed. Prayers are
appreciated.
Benjamin, my oldest, is doing well. He and his wife, Andrea Joy, just returned from a Bible camp in Pennsylvania where Ben (an evangelist) preached one week for Teen Camp and another week for Junior Camp.
And last, but hardly least, my husband Daniel is recovering nicely from his back surgery last January. He had a cyst removed from his spinal cord, but we rejoice in that it wasn’t a cancerous tumor. Nevertheless, Daniel is still experiencing a fair amount of pain. Please continue to pray for healing.

A Shining Light
To A Lost And Dying World
In each of my
books in my "Faded Photograph" Series, I included a Preface. I remember when
Daniel and I were going through a fiery trial and I didn't think anyone
understood. I would pick up a Christian novel and think, "These women have no
idea what I'm going through." When I read secular novels, they afforded me
little to no hope. What I craved were situations with which I could identify
and a clear, straight, Bible-based answer.
After God
miraculously delivered us and restored our marriage, I was determined to write
novels that helped heal hurting hearts. This message is one that can be found
in most all my stories, but it's the cornerstone for BROKEN THINGS, HIDDEN
THINGS, and PRECIOUS THINGS.
Illustrating my point is the Preface from BROKEN THINGS:
I believe the Lord gave me the idea
for this story after I watched with a broken heart as several Christians gave
up on their faith. They stumbled in their walk, got lost in the darkness, and
figured there was no way back to Jesus. Worse, they believed God didn’t want
them back because of their blemished pasts. How wrong they were!
While it’s true that our actions, and the consequences thereof, are our
responsibilities, our burdens to bear, it’s also true that God will take us and
our hurtful pasts, and use them all together for His good (Romans 8:28). This
truth in no way gives us a license to sin, but I have seen God take the pieces
of a broken life, put them back together, and create a thing of extraordinary
beauty – and one that’s of service to Him. ~ God really does use “broken things.”
So if you’re reading this with a wounded spirit and your outlook on life
is bleak, be assured that there is hope through Jesus Christ and that you are
precious in His sight. Don’t let your tarnished past stand between you and
shining future.
You are valuable, priceless, and you are loved.
